Researching transportation issues?

The Transportation Research Board will be offering a FREE webinar on January 26, 2016 that will cover the basics of TRID, the Transportation Research International Documentation database, the world’s largest bibliographic resource on transportation research information.

The learning objectives are:

  • Understand what TRID is and how it helps with transportation research
  • Perform basic and advanced searches
  • Utilize the “search history” feature
  • Understand the type of content included in the TRID database
  • Submit publications to TRID for including in the database

Today’s Google Doodle: An Inventor!

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the birthday of actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr. Hedy Lamarr was inducted into the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame in 2014. Her invention, covered by United States Patent 2,292,387 is for a wireless communications technology.

Congratulations to Yuma County Library District!

Secretary of State Michele Reagan presented the Yuma County Library District with a check for $20,000 to use towards promoting digital literacy. For some background, Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants are administered by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a Division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
